India vs Australia 5th T20I: India secured a nail-biting victory over Australia by 6 runs in Bengaluru on Sunday (December 3) to complete a 4-1 T20I series victory.
Batting first, the Indian team managed 160 for 8 in their allocated 20 overs. Shreyas Iyer, who returned to the team for the final two matches, scored a decent half-century. Iyer scored 53 off 37 balls and had help from Jitesh Sharma (24 off 16) and Axar Patel (31 off 21).

In the run chase, Australia made a superb start with Ben McDermott and Travis Head, but the middle-over collapse dragged the visitors to the backfoot. McDermott scored 54 off 36 balls, but the spinners put the stranglehold in the middle overs to bring India back into the match.
Then a Mukesh Kumar double-wicket over swung the pendulum in India's favour. Australia needed 10 runs in the last over but their captain Matthew Wade fell in Arshdeep's delivery in the deep as India held on to a victory by 6 runs.
Arshdeep, who had to defend 8 runs to give India a victory, conceded only 3 in the final over as India completed a 4-1 series victory.

Dream11 Game Changer of The Match: Mukesh Kumar for earning 99 fantasy points. (Rs 1 lakh)
SBI Life Apne Liye Apno K Liye: Shreyas Iyer (Rs 1 lakh)
Player of the Series: Ravi Bishnoi for 9 wickets in the series (IDFC Trophy and Rs 2.5 Lakh)
Matthew Wade (Australia Captain): "Yes it's a disappointing end. I thought we bowled relatively well and kept them down to a total that should've been chased down. Pretty disappointing. There's always a temptation to play up the order, it was spoken about but looking forward to the World Cup. My job is to get us home in situations like tonight. It would've been nice to get the result, but we learn and I thought Ben McDermott bounced back, Behrendorff, Dwarshuis, Sangha made an impact in tough conditions."
Axar Patel (Player of the Match): "It was fun today. The ball turned today in the first delivery and I knew I will have wickets today. After such a break, you need batting like this. When you are playing regularly, you know how to approach. I was struggling in the first two matches and I was not happy. Got a bit more deliveries and found my rhythm. I played with Ravi Bishnoi in Gujarat and the partnership continues for India. Elated to play with him and hopefully our partnership continues."
Ravi Bishnoi (Player of the Series): "The first match didn't go well but I tried to execute well in the next matches and it paid off. My plan is simple, that is to bowl stump to stump and keep it a bit short as overpitch ones gets hit for a lot of runs. It will be a different challenge and different pitch in South Africa and hopefully I can adapt well and do the best for the team."
Suryakumar Yadav (India Captain): "It was a good series. The way the boys showed their skills was commendable. We wanted to be fearless and enjoy. Very happy with that. If he (Washington Sundar) would have been there it'd have been an add-on. 160-175 is a tricky score here. After 10 overs, I told the boys that it's game on."
