India vs Australia: India's cricketing giants, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, are no strangers to the expectations that come with their stature. However, during a recent practice session at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), both senior players lost their cool after encountering unruly fan behaviour.

The two stalwarts, who have been preparing intensely for the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, were left frustrated by the demands being shouted at them by fans in the nets.

Multiple Reports indicate that during the practice session, fans began yelling specific instructions, requesting the duo to play certain shots, which disrupted their focus. This led to a visible expression of discontent from both players. It was clear that the pressure to entertain had crossed a line, and the atmosphere, instead of fostering concentration, turned into one of annoyance. As highly experienced players, Rohit and Kohli have always been mindful of the fans, but during critical training sessions ahead of a decisive Test match, the distraction was too much.

The India team has faced similar issues in the past. Following complaints about abusive behaviour from fans during the first Test in Perth, the team had opted for closed-door practice sessions. The Melbourne practice session had initially been open to the public, but the disruptive nature of the crowd led to discomfort among the players. Reports suggest that the demand for certain shots during training was not only distracting but also created unnecessary pressure on the players, impacting their concentration and preparation.

Rohit and Kohli, both integral to India's chances in the upcoming match, have not been in peak form throughout the series. Rohit has struggled in the middle order, managing only 19 runs across two games, while Kohli, despite an impressive century in Perth, has been unable to build on his early success. Their ability to find form will be crucial for India's prospects in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
