India star batter Virat Kohli escorted notorious pitch invader Daniel 'Jarvo 69' Jarvis out of the field after his pitch invasion during the ICC World Cup 2023 clash against Australia. Jarvis has invaded the pitch a couple of times during India matches in the past.
The India vs Australia ICC World Cup 2023 clash saw a pitch invasion from the infamous Daniel Jarvis, also known as Jarvo 69. The incident happened in the early overs of the match as the Englishman interrupted a high-octane match with both nations playing their first match of the tournament at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Chennai.

Wicketkeeper KL Rahul was the first to ask Jarvo, who was wearing an Indian jersey, to leave the field while groundstaff and officials came rushing to take the Englishman, who has gained notoriety for such antics throughout the sporting world.
Jarvo 69 soon approached Virat Kohli, who wasn't too pleased with the intruder's action and could be seen gesturing Jarvo to leave the field. He was soon escorted out of the field by the officials and expected to be detained, not arrested, for the rest of the match by authorities, as per security protocol.
The incident still left a question mark on the security arrangements for one of the biggest tournaments the country hosted in recent years. Jarvis, however, is not known for doing anything untoward but hasn't always drawn kind reactions from fans for his pitch invasions.
His first pitch invasion came back on August 28, 2021, during the India vs England Test match in England as he appeared on the pitch dressed in full cricket gear. His appearance deceived security officials and entered the field as well. The incident went viral online and was ignored as a one-off incident.
However, the players intruded few more matches and soon led to a ban by some of the venues, including the iconic Lord's and Headingley. The World Cup match intrusion wearing an Indian jersey isn't the first time as he was seen in an Indian Test match jersey one time.
Growing in confidence, Jarvo tried to bowl a delivery and collided with English cricketer Jonny Bairstow on the field. However, this incident landed him in legal trouble as he was arrested on suspicion of assault
