Shubman Gill has scored a terrific hundred against Bangladesh on Friday (September 15) and has kept India's chase alive in the match.
Gill has been the sole performer for Men in Blue with the bat as the batter slammed his 5th ODI century at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. This is also Gill's first hundred against Bangladesh in ODIs, as he has already scored a three-figure knock against the Tigers in Tests last year.

Chasing 266, India kept on losing wickets in regular intervals. All the batters had a huge struggle to cope with Bangladesh's debutant pacer Tanzim Sakib and then the spinners, but Gill constructed his inning sublimely.
The batter showed immense skill, poise and elite temperament to counter the bowling attack and scored his runs across the ground. Gill scored 121 off 133 balls before getting out in the bowling of Mahedi Hasan.
He also displayed aggression with his shot-making, scoring 8 fours and 5 sixes in his innings. The batter has also crossed 1700 ODI runs on the day.
The youngster is currently the highest run scorer in the Asia Cup 2023 with 275 runs in five matches. Before the century on Friday, Gill had already racked two half-centuries in the tournament, coming against Nepal and Pakistan respectively.
