India completed a fantastic victory in Kanpur to secure a 2-0 win in the Test series against Bangladesh on Tuesday (October 1).

The Indian team was excellent once again on the final day of the Kanpur Test, which lost almost three days due to massive rain. Despite that, the hosts registered a 7-wicket win thus managing their 6th Test victory in this WTC cycle.

After bundling out Bangladesh for 233 runs in the first innings, India scored 285 for 9 before declaring in the final hour of the fourth day. They took 2 Bangladeshi wickets in the final hour of Day 4, and then continued their onslaught on the final day. Ravindra Jadeja picked up three wickets, whereas Jasprit Bumrah also managed three wickets to skittle the visitors for just 146 runs in the 2nd innings. Chasing 96 runs, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a fifty and then Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant steered India to a comfortable victory.

With the win, India remain at the top of the World Test Championship (WTC) points table, further bolstering their position at the summit.
