The second Test match between India and Bangladesh, scheduled to be played in Kanpur from September 27 onwards, is under a security threat in the wake of the series of attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh after Sheikh Hasina's resignation as their PM.
The local intelligence has notified the BCCI officials about the impending situation, which can turn volatile. Sources told MyKhel that the BCCI is in the process of holding talks with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the issue.

"The UP CM Yogi will take stock of the situation before the Test match is held. There is definitely a security threat to the event," a top BCCI source told MyKhel while adding that the Test match should go ahead as scheduled.
Bangladesh are scheduled to play a two-match Test series in India. The Tigers are coming to India on the back of a magnificent series win in Pakistan. Najmul Hossain Shanto and his team secured a historic 2-0 series win in Pakistan, marking their first-ever Test series win over Pakistan.
