The third Test between India and England will go all guns blazing from February 15 (Thursday). India kick-started their home campaign with a bitter defeat over England in the Test opener in Hyderabad.

The visitors won the first by 28 runs to take the first lead in the series before the hosts made a stellar rebound in the second game in Vizag. Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team won by a huge margin of 106 runs to level the series.

Match Date, Time and Venue: The 3rd Test match between India and England will kick off at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot from Thursday (February 15). The match will begin at 9:30 am IST / 4 am GMT.

India vs England 3rd Test Team News, Injury Update

• Virat Kohli who opted out of the first two Tests due to personal reasons was expected to be back in action for the rest of the series. Nevertheless, that wasn't meant to be as he has made himself unavailable for the remaining three Tests.

• KL Rahul was named in the squad for the last three Tests but has been ruled out of the upcoming Test due to a sore knee. On the contrary, Shreyas Iyer has been axed from the squad for registering a string of low scores.

• Ravindra Jadeja who was ruled out of the Vizag Test due to hamstring injury is fit to play the next Test in his home ground. With KL Rahul ruled out of the third Test and Shreyas Iyer dropped from the squad, Sarfaraz Khan is more likely to make his Test debut.

Devdutt Padikkal has been named as the replacement for injured KL Rahul but he is unlikely to feature in the starting XI. On the other hand, England's frontline spinner Jack Leach has been ruled out of the remaining three games due to a knee injury.

England haven't named a replacement yet but will continue with the spin trio namely Tom Hartley, Rehan Ahmed and Shoaib Basheer. Joe Root is expected to deliver the goods as the fourth spinner.
