Rohit Sharma, India captain: "I appreciate everyone who came to support us. The crowd has been amazing. Not our home ground but they made it our home ground. Very satisfying win.
"Right form the beginning our spinners... there is too much expectation but they never disappointed. It helped them and we used that to our advantage. We were very consistent with our bowling.
"[KL] A very solid mind, never gets overawed with the pressure around him. He finished off the game for us. He picks the right shot to play in the pressure situation which allows the rest of the batters to play freely. For eg, Hardik. The overall batsmanship shown by all the batters was special.
"[On Chakravarthy] He has something different about him. When you are playing on such a pitch, you want to have something like him. He didn't start but played later and got wickets. Luckily for us, it came to use. Very grateful for the fans. We really appreciate their support. It may not be seen as useful but when they come out, it makes a difference."
Stay tuned as the trophy handover is coming up next but before that Indians players will be handed the white jacket, which is customarily given to the winners!

Indian players collect their winners medal with broad smiles on their faces! This will be followed by words by Rohit Sharma in capacity of India's captain!

Mitchell Santner, runners-up captain:"It's been a good tournament. We have been challenged along the way and the way we have grown as a group. We lost to a better side today. Everyone contributed to the tournament and put their hands up at different rimes. It was good bowling. We lost a couple of wickets after the powerplay and they really got the squeeze on. Credit to how their spinners how they bowled. They are world-class bowlers. We were 20 or 25 under to what we were looking for.
"[Phillips catch] That man he keeps doing it. The way Rohit and Gill went about it was great. Rohit going at almost run a ball on that wicket was outstanding. We knew the game could change quickly and that happened.
"[On Ravindra] We have seen how he steps up in these tournaments. With the ball as well he stepped up. He understands the game at such a young age. He's got a massive future. Even today, he went over a run a ball.
"[First ICC tournament as captain] It has been very enjoyable. Made easy by the group. Different guys stepping up at different times makes it easy. We have had a few challenges but we have adapted. It has been a great tournament."

Rohit Sharma, Man of the match: "It is very nice. We played some really good cricket through the tournament, to come out and have the result our way is a great feeling, very happy with how we played this game.
"It is not natural to me but it is something I really wanted to do, when you are trying something different you need the backing of the team and they were with me, Rahul bhai in the 2023 World Cup and now with Gauti bhai. I have played all these years in a different style, I wanted to see if we can get results by playing differently."

Virat Kohli: "When you leave, you want to leave the team in a better place, I feel we've a squad that's ready to take on the world for the next 8 years. Shubman has been outstanding, Shreyas has played some top knocks, KL has finished games and Hardik has been superb with the bat.
"Amazing (on the New Zealand team), we've always been in awe with what they can do, the limited number of players in the talent pool, but they just execute plans so well, they keep playing the kind of cricket that keeps them very much in the game. They're always been attacking and supportive of the bowlers, Credit to them, easily the best fielding unit, sad to see a very good friend of mine to be on the losing side (on Kane Wiliamson), but they're always so good and they keep doing the basics well. That's what makes them such a competitive unit."

Before we hear what Rohit Sharma has to say, let's hear what Virat Kohli has to say about the win and a possible retirement
Virat Kohli: "It's been amazing, we wanted to bounce back after a tough Australian tour, and wanted to win a big tournament, so to win the Champions Trophy is amazing. So much talent in the dressing room, they're trying to take their game further and we're just happy to be of help (role of the seniors), sharing our experience and that's what makes this Indian team so strong.
"These are the things you want to play (for titles), playing under pressure and putting your hand up. The whole team, everyone has put their hands up sometimes or other (during the course of the tournament), everyone has put up impactful performances, we've been part of an amazing team, the amount of work we've done in the practice sessions, it feels great (to win)."

Rohit Sharma is awarded player of the match after misfiring in most of the tournament. Quotes by him is coming up soon!
Ravindra Jadeja: "My batting number is such that I'm either a hero or a zero. It was important that KL and Hardik did well in that partnership, the wicket wasn't easy going into batting at first, it's an important tournament, playing for India and winning the Champions Trophy for the country is big, you do regret when you don't be part of winning teams.
"But I'm lucky that I've managed to be fit enough and performed at the highest level in winning the two tournaments, the 2024 T20 WC and this tournament."

KL Rahul: "I don't think I can say this on camera but I was shitting myself. We had a couple of batters to come but I was tense. It's all about keeping yourself calm and composed in situations like this. I think I've batted in times like this in 3 out of the 5 games (in this CT) and in one of the games I didn't get to bat at all against Pakistan.
"Hard to put it into words, pure skill and the way we've all played our cricket growing up, had to face a lot of challenges, we've had to face pressure from the time we've held a bat and decided to become professional cricketers. The way the BCCI has groomed us and the domestic circuit has trained us to handle pressure and do well in circumstances like these."
The Champions Trophy 2025 final presentation ceremony is all set to begin soon! Indian players are sharing their thoughts with the nation after a hard-fought campaign. Stay tuned as we bring you all the reactions and key moments from the ceremony, including the award winners and team celebrations. Quotes coming up shortly!
New Zealand started well with Rachin Ravindra providing an early burst, but India's spinners, particularly Varun Chakaravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav, put a stranglehold on the innings. The middle-order contributions from Daryl Mitchell (63) and Michael Bracewell (unbeaten 50) ensured the Black Caps reached a respectable 251/7 in 50 overs. India's bowlers, led by Chakaravarthy (2/42) and Kuldeep Yadav (2/47), kept New Zealand in check despite a late flourish from Bracewell.
In response, India got off to a confident start, with captain Rohit Sharma leading the charge. His well-crafted 76 anchored the chase before a middle-order wobble gave New Zealand hope. Shreyas Iyer's crucial 48 and KL Rahul's composed unbeaten 34 guided India home in a nervy finish. Hardik Pandya played a key role in a tricky phase, striking two massive sixes off Rachin Ravindra to turn the game decisively in India's favor.
The match had its moments of brilliance, including Glenn Phillips' stunning fielding efforts, notably his flying catch to dismiss Shubman Gill. However, India's depth in batting and their experience in high-pressure situations saw them through.
