India secured a mammoth victory over Pakistan on Monday (September 11) in the Asia Cup 2023 Super Fours and now have started this section of the tournament with a victory.

Team India knocked over arch-rivals Pakistan by 228 runs to clinch a crucial victory in Colombo. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul starred with the bat for India as the match was rescheduled on Monday. Kohli scored an unbeaten 122 while KL Rahul also notched a century in his comeback match as India amassed 356 for 2 in their 50 overs.

In reply, Pakistan were folded for just 128 runs. They lost 8 wickets but both Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf were injured and the pair didn't come out to bat. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers for India as the left-arm chinaman picked up five wickets. Shardul Thakur, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah picked one wicket each.
