India are up against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2026 match today (February 15) at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Pakistani captain said they will be bowling and the Indian batters will have to put runs on the board.

As the coin was lifted, the Pakistan captain called for Heads and won it. And after the toss, there was no customary handshake again between the two captains.
The handshake saga has continued for some time now as India refused to shake hands with their Pakistani counterparts since the Asia Cup. And the no-handshake saga continues. In fact, the two captains didn't even meet their eyes as they looked serious and was glued in opposite directions. After the toss, they crossed each other, but didnt extend their hands.
India captain Surya confirmed the return of Abhishek Sharma to the side for this crucial match. He missed the last encounter against Namibia due to stomach issue, but returns to the team. Kuldeep Yadav has also replaced Arshdeep Singh for this match.
"We were looking to bat first. We won last two games defending, so we don't want to change it. It is an occasion, it's a high-stake game. This sport teaches you a lot of things, any side can win the game on a given day. Two changes. Abhishek Sharma comes in and Kuldeep Yadav is in for Arshdeep Singh," Suryakumar Yadav said after losing the toss.
