Pakistan Champions led by Younis Khan have already got the better of Yuvraj Singh's India Champions earlier in the tournament in the league phase in front of a sold-out Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.

And ahead of another possible meeting if both teams win their respective semi-finals, former Pakistan all-rounder Afridi affirmed that the players are determined to play in the final, and if they face their bitter rival in the final, it would provide great entertainment to the fans.

"All the teams' players are determined to win the semi-final and make it to the final [...] fans will get great entertainment if Pakistan vs India takes place," Afridi was quoted as saying in Geo News.

Both teams will need to bounce back from defeats to ensure they reach the title clash, which is scheduled to be held on Saturday (July 13) at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.

While Pakistan lost only their final round robin match against South Africa, who also beat India in their final league match. Yuvraj's side, however, have gone on a three-match losing spree, which started off with the defeat to Pakistan.

Earlier on July 6, Pakistan rode on Kamran Akmal and Sharjeel Khan's 70-run plus knocks followed by Shoaib Maqsood's quickfire fifty to post a massive total of 243 before Shoaib Malik and Wahab Riaz did the job with the ball to restrict India to 175/9 in their allotted 20 overs.

Malik (3 for 38) and Riaz (3 for 22) claimed three wickets each, while Sohail Tanvir and Sohail Khan took a wicket each. For India champions, Suresh Raina made a notable contribution with a fifty.
