Who Won the Toss Today, IND vs PAK World Cup 2023 Match 12: India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elect to bowl first against Babar Azam's Pakistan in ICC World Cup 2023 Match 12 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday (October 14).
India and Pakistan head into the high-voltage clash with a perfect start of two wins in two. While Rohit's India saw off Australia and Afghanistan, Pakistan defeated Netherlands and Sri Lanka in their opening two matches of the tournament.

As for the teams for Saturday's match, fit-again Shubman Gill replaces Ishan Kishan for India in the only change, while Shardul Thakur still keeps Ravichandran Ashwin out of the playing 11. Pakistan, on the other hand, remain unchanged from the last match.
After opting to field, India skipper Rohit said: "[On the occasion] cannot get bigger than this, fantastic atmosphere. Sure lot of us are going to experience something really extraordinary."
On the pitch and conditions, Rohit added: "It's a good track, not going to change much, dew could be a big factor and keeping that in mind, we want to bowl first.
"We want to keep striving for the best, we want to come out there and give our best in every game. Keeping the atmosphere in the team relaxed is the most important thing in a tournament like this."
On the team news, Rohit said: "Gill is back in place of Ishan, unfortunate for Ishan to miss out, feel for him, he stepped up when we needed him. Gill has been a special player for us over the past year or so, especially at this ground and we wanted him back."
After being invited to bat first, Pakistan skipper Babar said: "We also wanted to bowl first. We have had good two wins, momentum and confidence is high. Jam-packed stadium, we will enjoy it. We want to be good in the field, we had a couple of good practice sessions. Same team for us."

Sanjay Manjrekar and Matthew Hayden told the host broadcaster Star Sports that it's a black soil pitch that has seen a lot of rolling. So, they predict 300 plus runs to be scored on this surface as it's look even more better than one used for the England vs New Zealand match.
Meanwhile, Irfan Pathan adds that the conditions are humid, and the ball should swing around early on, while Waqar Younis added that there is not much grass on the surface.
India will look to carry on the unbeaten streak against Pakisant. While Pakistan dominates India head-to-head in the ODI format, with 73 wins to their name as compared to 56 losses, the Men in Blue have won all the seven times in the ODI World Cup.
