India vs Pakistan: The ICC World Cup 2023 did not have an opening ceremony on October 5, but the same venue - Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which hosts the high-voltage clash between arch-rivals on October 14 is set to hold a Musical Odyssey.
In a series of posts made by BCCI on X, formerly Twitter, late Thursday (October 12) night, the Indian cricket board revealed that three top singers will perform before the match at the stadium to make the occasion even more special on Saturday (October 14).

The world's largest cricket stadium - Narendra Modi Stadium, which showcased empty stands during England vs New Zealand opener last week, is set to be packed to it's full capacity of 1,32,000 when the highly anticipated India-Pakistan match takes place.
Three singers who have been invited to perform at the pre-match show on October 14 are Arijit Singh, Sukhwinder Singh and Shankar Mahadevan with the former set to open the Musical Odyssey followed by the other two singers.
The three singers will perform an hour before the toss, starting from 12:30 PM IST with Arijit Singh opening followed by Shankar Mahadevan and Sukhwinder Singh. The toss will take place at 1:30 PM IST with the match set to start at 2 PM IST.
"Kickstarting the much-awaited #INDvPAK clash with a special performance! Brace yourselves for a mesmerising musical special ft. Arijit Singh at the largest cricket ground in the world- The Narendra Modi Stadium! Join the pre-match show on 14th October starting at 12:30 PM," BCCI posted on X.
Arijit Singh had also performed during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 opening ceremony earlier this year at the exact same venue, where Gujarat Titans faced Chennai Super Kings. Now, he will set the stage for the most anticipated clash in the World Cup 2023.
On the two teams form before the high-voltage clash, both India and Pakistan head into the match on the back of a perfect start in their opening two matches.
While India opened their campaign with an impressive win over record champions Australia before easing past Afghanistan, their rivals Pakistan started off with an easy win over Netherlands before pulling off the higest run chase in World Cup history to beat Sri Lanka.
In the seven ODI World Cup clashes between the two nations so far, India has had the better of Pakistan on all seven occasions. So, there is every chance that record remains intact when they clash on Saturday (October 14).
