Indian women's cricket team open their Women's Asia Cup 2024 campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla, Sri Lanka on Friday (July 19).

Harmanpreet Kaur's defending champions will look to extend their record in Women's Asia Cup and will aim for a winning start when they face Nida Dar's Pakistan, who are less fancied in the T20 tournament with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka likely to be the real tests.

On the opening day of the tournament, UAE face Nepal in the first match in Group A, while India and Pakistan face off in the second match, scheduled to start at 7 PM IST. However, with game being hosted in Sri Lanka, there is always a threat of rain playing spoilpsort.
