The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will witness a glittering pre-match musical ceremony and a plethora of dignitaries as India take on Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2023 on Saturday (October 14).

According to reports, the India-Pakistan clash is set to reach an unmatched height on Saturday as we may have a musical ceremony for the first time in a World Cup cricket match.

India and Pakistan rivalry in cricket is the pinnacle of all cricket rivalries. And as the two arch-rivals lock horns on Saturday, there will be no shortage of glamour and melody. India and Pakistan have met each other seven times in the World Cup, and the Men in Blue have emerged victorious in all of those occasions.

Arijit Singh to sing in Musical Ceremony

Bollywood stalwart Arijit Singh is set to enthrall the crowd with his mesmerizing voice on Saturday. The singer also sang at the same stadium at the start of IPL 2023 few months ago.

Golden Ticket holders will be present

GCA Secretary, Anil Patel, affirms that Golden ticket-holders are expected to be in attendance. These golden tickets have been issued to personalities such as Sachin Tendulkar, Rajnikanth, and Amitabh Bachchan by BCCI before the tournament commenced.

Stars Galore in Ahmedabad

The India vs Pakistan clash is expected to attract a large number of VIPs including Bollywood stars. The star-studded event will be a half an hour affair, taking place from 12:40 pm IST to 1:10 pm IST on the day of the match. Children, serving as mascots, will accompany the teams into the field.

Anil Patel also confirmed the presence of 20 to 25 Pakistani media outlets for the match. Arrangements and approvals are in place to host these delegations. Officials from PCB are also among the expected attendees.
