By MyKhel Staff

The first day of the two-day warm up match between India and Prime Minister's XI was unfortunately called off without the toss taking place after persistent rain in Canberra.

Rohit Sharma and Co were set to take on the Australian PM's XI in a day-night warm up match at the Manuka Oval in Canberra with toss scheduled at 2:10 PM AEDT followed by the first ball bowled at 2:40 PM AEDT.

India vs Prime Minister s XI day 1 called off

The two-day day-night match would have helped Team India to prepare for the upcoming pink-ball Test in Adelaide, which is part of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, but the start of the match was initially delayed and later called off without the toss taking place.

How will the IND vs PM XI warm up match be played now?

After the first day's play of a two-day game was called off on Saturday (November 30), the two teams have now agreed to play a 50-over format game on Sunday (December 1) if the weather permits. The match will start at the same time of 2:40 PM AEDT (9:10 AM IST in India).

Team India, which already leads the BGT Down Under 1-0 after the dominating win in Perth, will hope to get some batting under the lights before they face Pat Cummins' Australia at the Adelaide Oval in the second Test from December 6.
