Cape Town, January 30: South Africa are without AB de Villiers for the first three one-day internationals against India due to a finger injury.
The explosive batsman hurt his right index finger during the third and final Test against India, which the tourists won by 63 runs in Johannesburg to claim a consolation win in the three-match series.
Cricket South Africa confirmed via a statement that de Villiers will need up to two weeks to make a recovery, meaning he is absent for the opening three of six ODIs taking place between February 1 and 7.
However, he could return for the fourth match at the Wanderers on February 10 and South Africa have opted not to call up a replacement.
