The Indian cricket team is set for a blockbuster home season, hosting South Africa in a multi-format series from November 14 to December 19, 2025.
The much-anticipated tour includes two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is at iconic venues across India. This high-profile series follows India’s intense contests in Australia, where the Men in Blue displayed competitive cricket in both ODI and T20 formats ahead of returning home.

The Freedom Trophy begins at Eden Gardens, promising a high-voltage contest as India, strong at home, face a formidable South African side. The action then shifts to Guwahati, making its mark with a historic Test encounter as for the first time, Tea will be taken before lunch in a match to enhance game timing.
The three-match ODI series will be crucial for both teams in fine-tuning their white-ball combinations, keeping future ICC tournaments in sight. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli both are expected to feature in the ODI series.
The T20I series rounds off India’s home year, offering opportunities for the team ahead of the T20I World Cup next year.
India return home after a challenging series in Australia, which included both ODI and T20I battles that tested the squad’s depth and adaptability. Under Shubman Gill, India lost the ODI series but won the T20I series 2-1 under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav.
