India U19 vs South Africa U19 Semi-Finals Match Result: ICC U19 World Cup 2024 match between India and South Africa ended with the win of India by 2 wickets in a thriller at Willowmoore Park pitch in Benoni on Tuesday (February 24).

India reaches the final with the help of the astounding innings by Sachin Dhas (96) and skipper Uday Saharan (81). Even after the miserable start (33/4 in 12 overs) by Team India.

The partnership ( 171 runs off 187 balls ) between Saharan and Dhas took the game away from the hosts. Tristan Luus (3/37) and Kwena Maphaka (3/32) were the only two among the wickets.

Given the occasion of the semi-final, South Africa put up a decent target of 245 runs. The wicket-keeper batsman Lhuan-dre-Pretorius (76 runs off 102 balls) and Richard Seletswane (64 runs off 100 balls) were among the highest run-scorers from the batting lineup. Raj Limabani (3/60) and Musheer Khan (2/43) were the highest wicket-takers for India.

Boys in Blues invited the South African Team to put runs on the board in the first semi-final after winning the toss. South Africa had a cautious start, scoring (74/2) in 15 overs. The initiative was missing from the hosts but still, they managed to put up a decent total of 244/7 in 50 overs.

Lhuan-dre-Pretorius and Richard Seletswane were among the highest run-scorers from the batting lineup. Tristan Luus remained not out, playing a little cameo of 23 runs off 12 balls. Raj Limbani and Naman Tiwari were among the wickets from the bowlers. However, spinners put the breaks on the scoring rate. Therefore, South Africa never really gained momentum so that they could score big.

Indian batters had the worst possible start of their whole campaign. They were 33/4 in 12 overs, as the top order of the Indian batting lineup collapsed. Then came the partnership between Uday Saharan (C) and Sachin Dhas which turned the tide in India's favour.

India had a little scare after Tristan and Maphaka (leading wicket-taker of the tournament) were brought into the attack, Maphaka broke the partnership by taking out Dhas. Then India lost the two wickets in the form of run-outs after, including the captain. It was really an edge-of-the-seat encounter but somehow India managed to pull off the win and booked itself a place in the finals.
