India will lock horns with Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2023 final at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday (September 17). While India aim to extend their record with an eighth title in Asia Cup, Sri Lanka will look to go level with a seventh title triumph.
Rohit Sharma's Men in Blue come into the match on the back of a defeat in the dead rubber against Bangladesh, while Dasun Shanaka-led Sri Lanka are fresh from a final-clinching victory over Pakistan in their most recent outing in the tournament.

With an eye on the final, Team India made five changes to their playing 11 in the 6-run loss to Bangladesh. Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav, who were rested, are all expected to return to the line up for the final.
However, India will be without the services of Axar Patel, who picked up an injury and is being replaced by Washington Sundar in the squad. Similarly, Sri Lanka, who beat Pakistan in a final over thriller by 2 wickets (DLS method) will be without Maheesh Theekshana.
The two sides have already clashed once in this tournament with India coming out on top with a 41-run victory over the hosts despite being bundled out for 213 by the Sri Lankan spinners. Now, they are set for round two. Here is all the latest news and updates from IND vs SL Asia Cup final:

Good news! The rain has stopped and the covers are off. Pitch inspection to be done by the umpires at 3:30 PM IST.
It's drizzling a little and the covers are on! We will have to wait for some time for the final to kick off.
Dasun Shanaka after the toss: "We'll bat first. Seems like a good wicket, there will be some turn in the afternoon. Last year, we weren't able to get these crowds but this time we are really fortunate. I'm very pleased with the youngsters - Wellalage, Pathirana, Samarawickrama. It is a good team and the results are there, this is a good boost for the WC. One change for us - Theekshana out, Dushan Hemantha in."
Rohit Sharma after the toss: "Would have batted first too, looks like a dry pitch. We are confident of chasing down whatever Sri Lanka put on the board. This is a good chance to go aggressive with the ball and see what the surface has to offer. We came really close last game, anything about 240 on this surface is good. Our job today is to do well with the ball, and then see what we can do with the bat. The crowd have been brilliant, good support for both teams but probably a bit more for Sri Lanka. Hopefully, they get to witness a good final. Everyone's back after the rest in the last game, Axar is injured so Washington Sundar comes in for him."
Theekshana out, Dushan Hemantha in.
