After the completion of the Super Fours match between India and Pakistan in two days due to rain and wet outfield, the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo is now looking to successfully host India and Sri Lanka in the fourth Super 4 match of the Asia Cup 2023.
After a delayed start of the match between India and Pakistan on the reserve day (Monday, September 11), rain stopped play once more during the Pakistan batting innings from 8:10 PM (approx) to 9:20 PM but that did not lead to loss of any over.

India first resumed from their overnight score of 147/2 in 24.1 overs and went on to post 356/2 in 50 overs. Groundsmen were seen ready with the covers at one stage during the India innings as well but luckily the clouds moved away. Pakistan batted for 32 overs and were bundled out for 128.
However, rain unlikely to play any major spoilsport on Tuesday as India take on Sri Lanka with an aim to book a berth in the final on Sunday.
There is no reserve day in play for the India vs Sri Lanka Super Fours match. Let's have a look at the hourly weather updates of Colombo for Tuesday, September 12.

Just 15 overs of play remaining. No signs of rain. We are on course to witness a full match without any rain interference. Quite a rare instance in the Asia Cup 2023 in Sri Lanka! Sri in need of 60 runs from 90 balls with four wickets in hand.

The last Indian batting pair of Axar Patel and Siraj have resumed batting after the rain break. India have gone past 200 and a six from Axar off Theekshana on the final ball of the 48th over.
No overs lost and umpires satisfied with the playing conditions at the ground.
An inspection in five minutes. Umpires to check if there are any area damp areas on the ground.
