India vs Sri Lanka ODI Schedule: BCCI Rules Out Delhi-to-Ahmedabad Shift
The BCCI has dismissed reports suggesting that the opening ODI between India and Sri Lanka on December 13 could be shifted from Delhi to Ahmedabad, confirming that no decision has been taken to change the scheduled venue.
BCCI honorary secretary Devajit Saikia clarified on Monday that the reports were inaccurate and reiterated that bilateral international matches are allotted according to the board's standard policy.

"Reports suggesting that the India-Sri Lanka ODI match scheduled in Delhi may be shifted to Ahmedabad are not accurate. There has been no such decision by the BCCI. We request media colleagues to kindly refer to official BCCI communications for any updates regarding the schedule. Further, it needs to be reiterated that bilateral matches are primarily allotted by following a standard policy," Saikia said.
Why Were Reports of a Venue Change Circulating?
Reports had suggested that the December 13 ODI could be moved to Ahmedabad because of ongoing construction work at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium. However, Saikia's statement made clear that the BCCI had not decided to relocate the fixture.
Ahmedabad is already scheduled to host the final ODI of the three-match series on December 19. The BCCI has not announced any change to the Delhi fixture.
India vs Sri Lanka Series Schedule
Sri Lanka's tour of India will feature a three-match ODI series followed by a three-match T20 International series. The opening ODI is scheduled for December 13 in Delhi, while Ahmedabad is set to host the series finale on December 19.
For now, Delhi remains the scheduled venue for the opening ODI, with the BCCI urging media organisations to rely on its official communications for any updates to the fixtures.
