India and Sri Lanka will be up against each other in ICC World Cup 2023 Match 33 on Thursday (November 2). The Asian neighbours will meet at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

India won six matches in a row with a victory over England in their last match, and now are on the verge of qualifying for the semi-finals. Sri Lanka's World Cup fate hasn't turned out as they wanted it to be, with just two wins out of six, they are languishing in the 7th position and are on the brink of elimination.

India have injury issues in the team as Hardik Pandya is still recovering from his ankle injury. Rohit Sharma and the team management would be keen to stick with the same team. Mohammed Shami and Suryakumar Yadav came good for the Indian team in the match against England, as the former picked up 4 wickets.

Sri Lanka's Lahiru Kumara is the latest to be ruled out with an injury. Dushmantha Chameera and Dimuth Karunaratne came in against Afghanistan but the Lankans suffered a disappointing defeat. It is to be seen how they line up against the formidable Indian team. Dunith Wellalage had an excellent match against India in the Asia Cup, and may return to the team.
