India's upcoming tour against Sri Lanka is set to start on July 26 as they lock horns in 3 T20Is, followed by 3 ODIs.
The T20 matches will be played in Pallekele while Colombo will host the ODI matches. The series will also be India's first bilateral series in the island country in three years.

Gautam Gambhir is set to take charge as India's head coach in the series. After Rahul Dravid's victorious swansong, Gambhir has been given the responsibility to steer the Indian team towards further glory.
Although the squads are yet to be announced, the Indian team is expected to bring in a few changes in the ODI format. With Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah set to be rested, a few other stars may have a huge opportunity to impress the new coach. Here are three names who can make a return to the 50-over format.
KL Rahul had a superb World Cup 2023 but got ousted from the Indian team for the T20 World Cup. Although his batting approach in T20 format can raise questions, Rahul is a superb player in the ODI format. Hence he is likely to make a return to the squad for the Sri Lanka series.
Shreyas Iyer also had a magnificent World Cup 2023 but then injury and a few disciplinary issues made him out on the wings. Iyer lost the BCCI central contract but showcased excellent batting and captaincy for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2024, leading KKR to win the title. Iyer, given his merit and form, is also another player who may return to the side.
This series can also mark the return of Rishabh Pant to the ODI squad. The southpaw made his return to international cricket in the T20 World Cup and is tipped to follow suit in the longer format as well. Rishabh may also be the first choice wicketkeeper for India in the series, with KL Rahul as the backup.
