India are set to lock horns against USA in their first match of the T20 World Cup 2026 campaign on Saturday (February 7) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

India, the defending champions, are in Group A along with arch-rivals Pakistan, Netherlands, Namibia and USA.

USA won the Toss and decided to Bowl First.

India have Jasprit Bumrah out who is not playing because of a fever, as Mohammed Siraj comes in the side for India. Ishan Kishan will open the batting along with Abhishek Sharma.

"We wanted to bat first. The pitch looks good and it will be good for next forty overs. Washington Sundar, Sanju Samson missing out. Unfortunately Bumrah is not well, so Siraj comes in," said India captain Suryakumar Yadav at the toss.
