India vs Zimbabwe: India are set to tour Zimbabwe for a five-match T20I series starting July 7 in Harare. The series will be India's first after the T20 World Cup 2024 which concludes with the final on June 29.

The India squad for the Zimbabwe T20Is is expected to be announced soon. Most of the players, who are part of the T20 World Cup 2024, are expected to be rested. As per the latest reports, Shubman Gill will lead the Indian team in Zimbabwe.

However, the likes of Sanju Samson, Rinku Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal, who did not get game time, could be picked in the squad. Others in contention to be picked for the series are Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed. These four were picked in the India squad for T20 World Cup 2024 as travelling reserves.

A recent PTI report also suggested that the likes of Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag, Mayank Yadav, Harshit Rana, Nitish Reddy, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Yash Dayal are all at the NCA and training hard in hopes of getting picked in the squad for Zimbabwe T20Is.

Shreyas Iyer, who led KKR to IPL 2024 title win, Sai Sudharsan, Tilak Varma, T Natarajan and Varun Chakravarthy could also be in contention.
