Electing to bat, New Zealand faced a formidable Indian bowling attack. Daryl Mitchell anchored the innings with a resilient 63, while Michael Bracewell's unbeaten 53 propelled the Kiwis to a total of 251-7. Chasing 252, India showcased their batting prowess. Captain Rohit Sharma led with an authoritative 76, setting a solid foundation alongside Shubman Gill. Despite a mid-innings wobble, the experienced KL Rahul's composed 34 not out ensured India crossed the finish line with an over to spare.
