India win toss; elect to bat

Hove, July 7 (UNI) Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to bat as India kickstarted their three-month long tour of England taking on Sussex in a four-day warm up match here today.

India, on a high after their 2-1 win over South Africa in the ODI series in Belfast, have included Bengal medium pacer Ranadeb Bose in the team while Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Zaheer Khan have been rested.

Veteran leggie Anil Kumble and Mumbai batsman Wasim Jaffer have also joined the squad while VVS Laxman is playing his first match since January.

Team: India: Dinesh Karthik, Wasim Jaffer, Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid (capt), VVS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, Sreesanth, RP Singh, Anil Kumble, Ranadeb Bose.
