IND-W vs ENG-W: India Women defeated England Women by 347 runs at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai to register the biggest ever win by runs in women's Test cricket history on Saturday, December 16. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side won the Test match in the first session of Day 3.
India Women declared at their overnight score of 186/6 and asked England to chase down 479 runs to win the only Test match. An England defeat looked improbable but the manner of England's defeat came as shocking. Like the first innings, the visitors collapsed once again lasting only 27.3 overs in which they scored 131 runs.

England Women, who were bundled out for 136 in the first innings, again fell in the spin trap of Deepti Sharma and Rajeshwari Gayakwad. Deepti Sharma followed her first innings five-fer with another brilliant spell in which she picked four wickets for 32 runs in 8 overs. Pacer Pooja Vastrakar and Renuka Singh also chipped in with three and one wicket respectively.
England captain Heather Knight top-scored for his team in the second innings with 21 runs. Nat Sciver-Brunt had top-scored for England Women in the first innings with 59 off 70. Knight and Sciver-Brunt were the only two players to cross the 20-run mark in the match.
Deepti Sharma was adjudged Man of the Match for his all-round effort. She scored 67 runs to propel India to 428 in the first innings and picked five wickets to put England under the pump. 20 runs off just 18 balls came off her bat in the second innings before the off-spinner from Agra picked four more wickets in the second innings. Notably, it was the first women's Test match in India since 2014.
