Indian Cricket league launches its own official website
New Delhi, Aug 10 (UNI) The Indian Cricket League (ICL) has tread a path which not even BCCI, world cricket's richest board, has managed to do by launching its own official website.
ICL, backed by the cash cow of Essel groups, unveiled its website (www.indiancricketleague.in) in order to faciliate the recruitment of people keen to join in the breakway league.
ICL Business Head Himanshu Mody said in a press release, ''We have been getting thousands of mails, letters and queries from aspiring cricketers who don't know how to apply for the ICL. With the website, a single point of information and application of interest will exist for all,'' The Indian Cricket League has signed on several Indian and International cricketing greats like Brian Lara, Kiran More, Tony Greig, Dean Jones and Kapil Dev who heads the executive board.
The ICL will involve young talented players being identified from all over India, being trained to compete at the highest levels and then playing for their respective regions alongside top international stars.
The ICL will also make a foray in creating nation wide infrastructure (cricket academies) which will be equipped with state of the art facilities headed by international and domestic coaches under the supervision of a national director of academies, B S Sandhu.
