Sarfaraz Khan shares cryptic Instagram post after selection snub against West Indies

The India squad for the West Indies tour has caused a massive uproar, especially the squad for the Test team has been widely criticised by many.

Cheteshwar Pujara was dropped from the squad after a dismal WTC Final show, while Ajinkya Rahane was included in the squad. Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar voiced his opinion against 'scapegoating' Pujara ahead of the West Indies series.

But the player who has garnered the biggest support is Sarfaraz Khan. The Mumbai batter's exclusion from the Test squad is a baffling one and several ex-cricketers and pundits have slammed the selectors for not picking him.

Sarfaraz has been one of the leading run scorers in the Ranji Trophy across the last couple of seasons and deserved to be in the flight for the Caribbeans. The 25-year-old has amassed 3505 runs in just 37 first-class matches, at a humongous average of 79.

Amid the latest talk on his India snub, the batter shared a story on his Instagram profile on Saturday. He played a highlights reel of some of his domestic innings, playing for Mumbai in Ranji Trophy and the Rest of India in the Irani Cup.

It is a setback for the young batter for not getting into the Test team, as many other youngsters made their way into the squad. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mukesh Kumar - all got their maiden Test call-ups in the two-match Test series.

The first Test against West Indies starts on July 12 in Dominica, whereas the subsequent match will be played in Trinidad from July 20.
