Mumbai, Febr 13: Cricket fans are in for a nostalgic treat as some of the most iconic names in cricket umpiring and officiating gear up for the inaugural edition of the International Masters League (IML).

Legendary umpires Simon Taufel and Billy Bowden will lead the on-field officiating, joined by the evergreen Gundappa Ranganath Viswanath, who will serve as the match referee.

The elite umpires' panel, led by Taufel, also features seasoned professionals Umesh Dubey and Lyndon Edward Hannibal. This lineup ensures that the league maintains the highest standards of officiating while celebrating the spirit of cricket's golden era.

Simon Taufel, a five-time ICC Umpire of the Year, expressed his enthusiasm:
"Cricket has given us many unforgettable moments, and the International Masters League is bringing those glory days back. To stand in the middle once again and officiate matches featuring some of the greatest cricketers of all time is an absolute privilege. Fans can expect top-quality action, camaraderie, and an experience to be cherished."

Billy Bowden, renowned for his quirky and animated umpiring style, adds a nostalgic charm to the tournament. Meanwhile, former Indian captain G.R. Viswanath will uphold the integrity of the game as the match referee.

The International Masters League will feature cricketing icons from around the world, taking place from February 22 to March 16, 2025, across Navi Mumbai, Vadodara, and Raipur. With its stellar roster of players and officials, the IML promises to be a grand spectacle, reliving the golden days of cricket.

Fans can catch the live action from February 22 on Disney+ Hotstar, as well as on Colors Cineplex (SD & HD) and Colors Cineplex Superhits, with matches starting at 7:30 PM IST.
