Mumbai, Feb 14: Cricket fans are gearing up for a nostalgia-filled extravaganza as the International Masters League (IML) 2025 unveils the star-studded squads of India Masters and Sri Lanka Masters.
Set to take place from February 22 to March 16, 2025, the league promises to relive the golden era of cricket with iconic players reuniting to showcase their brilliance once again.

The India Masters squad, led by none other than the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, brings together a powerhouse of talent from cricket's golden era. Fans will once again witness the artistry of Yuvraj Singh, the hero of the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup, and the flamboyance of IPL greats Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu.
The explosive all-round duo of the Pathan brothers, Irfan and Yusuf, is set to bring flair and aggression to the tournament, while Naman Ojha will don the gloves behind the stumps.
The bowling attack features seasoned stalwarts like Vinay Kumar and Dhawal Kulkarni, supported by versatile players such as Stuart Binny, Shahbaz Nadeem, Rahul Sharma, Pawan Negi, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, and Abhimanyu Mithun.
Reflecting on the upcoming tournament, Irfan Pathan said, "The International Masters League is a tribute to cricket's golden age. Playing alongside Sachin Tendulkar and others brings back fond memories. But rest assured, we will play tough cricket and aim to win the title."
His brother Yusuf Pathan echoed his sentiments, adding, "This tournament rekindles memories of our triumphs, including the 2007 T20 World Cup. We'll bring the same passion to the field and give it our all to claim the title."
The Sri Lanka Masters, captained by the charismatic Kumar Sangakkara, are a testament to skill, consistency, and resilience. Sangakkara, a two-time ODI World Cup finalist and 2014 T20 World Cup winner, will team up with legends such as Romesh Kaluwitharana, the dynamic opener-keeper from the 1996 World Cup-winning squad.
The batting line-up features the dependable Upul Tharanga and Lahiru Thirimanne, alongside the explosive Chinthaka Jayasinghe. The team's all-rounders, including Seekkuge Prasanna, Jeevan Mendis, and Chaturanga de Silva, add depth, while the pace department, led by Suranga Lakmal, Nuwan Pradeep, and Dhammika Prasad, ensures a balanced attack.
Sangakkara expressed his excitement about the IML, saying, "This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate cricket and reconnect with fans. The Sri Lanka Masters are ready to take on the challenge and showcase the skills that defined our careers."
The IML 2025 will feature legendary players from India, Sri Lanka, England, Australia, West Indies, and South Africa. With squads from the remaining teams set to be unveiled soon, the excitement is palpable.
