Bengaluru, May 18: Yuvraj Singh, the most expensive buy in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL), did not live upto his price-tag as he ended his dismal run in the tournament last night with the exit of Delhi Daredevils (DD).

Yuvraj was bought by DD for a record Rs 16 crore at this year's players auction. Last year too he had attracted a huge amount, Rs 14 crore from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), which was also a record.
The 33-year-old's international career seems to be over but many thought he could still be a big hit in IPL. But it was not to be.
Yuvraj finished IPL 2015 with 248 runs in 13 innings (14 matches) with each single run of his costing close to Rs 6.5 lakh (6,45,161 to be exact).
After the end of his 7 innings in this year, the cost of his each run was exactly the same. And in the next 6 visits to the crease, yielded the same number of runs. First 7 innings produced 124 from his bat and next 6, same - 124.
He managed only 2 half centuries one apiece in his first 7 and next 6 innings. His tournament ended with 11 runs yesterday (May 17) against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the washed out contest. DD finished 7th (5 wins, 8 losses, 1 no result, 11 points) in the league table and failed to qualify for playoffs.
