Bengaluru, April 10: The "F" word has made a return to the Indian Premier League (IPL), again. And it is just three days after the 8th edition of the tournament had begun.

IPL 8 commenced on Wednesday (April 8) and just after two games in the league, there are media reports which claim an unnamed Rajasthan Royals (RR) player was approached by a Ranji Trophy team-mate for spot-fixing.

According to "Headlines Today" English news channel on Friday (April 10), the approach was made last month and the incident was reported to the Anti Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). According to "Times Now" channel, the player is based in Mumbai. Now the ACSU is investigating the matter.

In 2013, RR player and World Cup winner S Sreesanth was by BCCI for his alleged involvement in spot-fixing IPL matches.

IPL has had its share of controversies with spot-fixing and betting instances.
