Sourav Ganguly is currently serving as the president of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and is also an integral part of the IPL governing council.

During the IPL matches at MPCA stadium in Indore, a giant billboard in which Sourav Ganguly's photo endorsing a courier company can be seen.
Incidentally, the same courier brand is a sponsor for IPL side Kings XI Punjab. This has created a stir among a certain section who believe that the former cricketer should not be endorsing any brand being the CAB president and an IPL governing council member.
As quoted by the Times of India, a top BCCI official said: "There's an ambiguity around these things, but actually when one is an administrator in the board, one should avoid all this. It's not right to sail in two boats. He's also a member of the IPL Governing Council."
Ganguly also comes as an expert in several news channels and write columns in national and regional newspapers.
There is a vagueness in the actual law whether a person associated with IPL or BCCI can endorse brands.
The BCCI has not officially stated anything regarding the Sourav Ganguly issue.
