IPL 2023: Danny Morrison was at his hilarious best with MS Dhoni again during the toss ahead of the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday.
Dhoni has been welcomed with loud cheers from fans across venues in the IPL 2023 which many have predicted is his last season as a player in the cash-rich league. Things were the same in Delhi as the fans erupted in joy after the visiting captain won the toss.
"Can't hear you, louder," Morrison said even before Dhoni spoke a word. "Aaram se, Aaram se," Morrison said while dropping down his head in amazement of the Dhoni mania before using sign language to enquire about Dhoni's decision to bat or bowl first.
A cool and calm Dhoni patiently showed utmost respect to the antiques from Morrison but signalled that his side would bat first. CSK are placed second in the 10-team points table and have 15 points from 13 matches.

A win over Delhi will see them qualify for the IPL 2023 playoffs and make them the favourites to finish in the top-two. Notably, the top two teams after the league stage will play in Qualifier 1 for a direct place in the mega final.
Gujarat Titans (GT) have already qualified and have 18 points from 13 matches. No team can get to 18 points in the season now. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) also have 15 points from 13 matches and would need a big win against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to finish second in case CSK beat DC.
A lot of permutation and combination would come into play if CSK lose their last league match.
