IPL 2023: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Ajinkya Rahane blasted 71 unbeaten runs off just 29 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to extend his red-hot form in the IPL 2023 season. Rahane, who smashed a 19-ball fifty on his CSK debut against Mumbai Indians (MI) fired CSK to 235/4.
The total is the highest in IPL by any team. It's also the highest team total of the ongoing season. The CSK innings consisted of 18 sixes - the most in an innings in IPL 2023. Rahane played a major role behind all these milestones.

The 34-year-old smoked five sixes and six fours during his majestic knock in front of a jam-packed Eden Gardens in Kolkata. This time around, Rahane brought up his fifty with a cracking pull shot for four off Andre Russell on the 24th ball of his innings.
Rahane was at his brutal best in the 19th over from Varun Chakravarthy when he smashed two back-to-back sixes on the fourth and fifth delivery and then a glorious cut for four through covers. Unfortunately, the right-hander did not get a single ball to face in the final over.
Rahane, who was part of KKR in the IPL 2022, has now scored 209 runs from five IPL matches at an average of 52.25 and a strike rate of 199.04. Rahane's strike rate is highest in IPL 2023 among batters with more than 100 runs.
Here is how Twitter has reacted to the whirlwind knock from Rahane.
