The Indian Premier League is coming to Guwahati as Rajasthan Royals are set to adopt the Barsapara Stadium as their home ground for a couple of matches.
The Barsapara Stadium is in the capital of Assam in Guwahati, and is located at the heart of the city. It is also known as Assam Cricket Association (ACA) stadium. The stadium was established in 2012 and has never hosted an IPL match before. Floodlights were installed at the stadium in 2017.

The pitch at the Barsapara Stadium has proven to be a batter's paradise. It mainly has a hard deck where the batters can trust the bounce and hot along the line. The bowlers have been smacked around the ground and the same can be expected in the coming IPL.
Guwahati has a rain forecast for the coming week but the IPL matches are expected to take place without any environmental mishap.
