IPL 2023: Former India cricketer RP Singh has heaped rich praises on Mohammed Siraj and he said that can be Jasprit Bumrah's replacement and the next Mohammed Shami. The comment from Singh comes amid Siraj's good run for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2023.
In the nine matches so far, he has picked 15 wickets at an average of 17.13 and a strike rate of 7.34. His opening spells for RCB have been nothing but exceptional in the ongoing season.

Singh praised the 29-year-old pacer for working hard on his fitness and bowling technicalities to increase his graph after a downfall which could very well have ended his international ambitions. Siraj is now a regular in all the three formats for India.
“Of course, he can be a replacement for Bumrah. In fact, I feel, if his graph continues to increase he can be the next Mohammed Shami.”
“I have been following Siraj for a long time now. When he joined the Indian team, his graph was really high and then slowly it started falling. But it is good to see that he has worked on a lot of things this time, fitness being a major point," Singh told Hindustan Times.
“Now, if you look at the technical bit, he has worked a lot on his wrist position and follow through for which he is getting the ball top bounce better and is also bowling stump-to-stump.” he added.
Siraj will next been seen playing against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday.
