IPL 2023: CSK announce huge deal for fans ahead of home match against LSG

Chennai Super Kings have announced a massive piece of news for their supporters ahead of the Indian Premier League 2023. The Chennai franchise announced on Saturday that they have struck a deal with Chennai metro for their home matches.

Chennai Super Kings fans will be able to travel on the Chennai metro for free on CSK's home match days. The fans will be able to avail the metro without any cost only if they carry their match tickets.

"Chennai Super Kings announces a special partnership with Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) for IPL 2023 to enhance fan convenience and experience during the home matches at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk."

"Fans with tickets for Chennai Super Kings' home matches can travel in Metro Rail at no
additional cost. The commute to and fro the stadium will be hassle free as fans no longer
need to wait in queues; the QR/barcoded match tickets will double up as the travel tickets," it stated.

The Chennai Metro Rail will also provide feeder buses from the Metro station to MA Chidambaram stadium to make things easier for the spectators, while metro rails will run 90 minutes more than its original schedule to facilitate safe returns for the supporters.

"Chennai Super Kings has always focused on fans in all our initiatives. We are happy to partner with Chennai Metro for the IPL 2023 season to ensure that fans can travel hassle free for Chennai Super Kings' home matches. We encourage fans to use public transport and enjoy Chennai Super Kings matches in Chepauk," the CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said.
