Chennai Super Kings have made a stuttering start to their IPL 2023 campaign. They have won two and lost the same number after their first four matches in the IPL, but their struggle on the field has made no impact on their popularity on social media.
MS Dhoni-led CSK are at the summit of the popularity quotients when it comes to the IPL teams, and they are way ahead of the other teams.

They are currently the most socially engaged franchise of IPL when it comes to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram - the three biggest social media platforms. The four-time IPL champions have engaged in most actions on social media - which include Reactions, Likes, Shares, Comments Retweets and other stuff.
The data has been published by the popular website Comscore, which indicates Chennai's utter dominance.
From April 2 to April 11, Chennai Super Kings have accumulated a combined 83.3 million actions, the most among the 10 IPL teams.
CSK have their captain in MS Dhoni, and his monumental popularity in the country has also played a huge part. Dhoni is perhaps the biggest name in Indian cricket and it is imminent that his name is the dominant keyword in the engagements.
Another India stalwart Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore are 2nd in the list, with 72.2 million social media engagements in the first ten days of IPL, followed by Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians.
Mumbai are currently third in the ranking but are way behind the first two teams, with 38.1 million social media engagements.
Kolkata Knight Riders are ranked fourth, followed by defending Champions Gujarat Titans.
