IPL 2023: CSK's Mukesh Choudhary, LSG's Mohsin Khan doubtful for IPL with injuries

Chennai Super Kings pacer Mukesh Choudhary is Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Mohsin Khan are doubtful for the IPL 2023, according to reports.

Both players were outstanding for their respective franchises last year, but are poised to be ruled out from this edition.

Mukesh Choudhary doubtful for CSK

Mukesh Choudhary, the CSK pacer debuted for the four-time IPL champions in 2022, but there is a huge cloud of uncertainty on his participation this year. Choudhary, 26, was impressive for CSK last season, where he picked up 16 wickets in 13 games. The Maharashtra bowler has been marred with injuries and according to CSK, there is only a slim chance that he will be donning their yellow jersey this year.

"We are waiting on Mukesh but we do not have much hope. It will be unfortunate if he misses out," CSK's CEO Kasi Viswanathan told Cricbuzz.

Choudhary has played only a handful of domestic games this season and is out since December.

Mohsin Khan doubtful for LSG

Mohsin Khan was outstanding for Lucknow Super Giants last year. The lanky left arm pacer impressed everybody with his pace, swing and accuracy, and scalped 14 wickets with an economy under 6. He was a lethal weapon for KL Rahul in the powerplays and provided regular breakthrough.

But the Uttar Pradesh pacer is currently with the LSG team and practising. But the LSG team are not very optimistic and haven't announced regarding his availability.

The 24-year-old hasn't featured for UP in any domestic match this season as his last professional match was against RCB in the IPL 2022.
