CSK vs GT IPL 2023: 4 Bowlers Who Will Take Most Wickets In Today's Match

CSK vs GT: Gujarat Titans (GT) take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK in the Qualifier 1 of the IPL 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk) in Chennai on Tuesday. GT finished the league stage at the top with 10 wins in 14 matches, whereas CSK ended with 17 points in second spot.

The two sides clashed against each other in the IPL 2023 opener on March 31 as Gujarat Titans defeated Chennai Super Kings by five wickets. The winner of Qualifier 1 will directly enter the final of the IPL 2023. The losing team will get one more chance to book a final berth in Qualifier 2 which will be played on May 26.

As the two teams gear up to clash against each other for the second time in the IPL 2023, let's have a look at four players who can take most wickets in the match.

Ravindra Jadeja: Trial by spin is expected and quite naturally Ravindra Jadeja is going to play a huge role in the Qualifier 1 for CSK. In the tournament so far, the left-arm spinner has played 14 matches and picked 17 wickets at an average of 22.05 and an economy rate of 7.65.

In Chennai, Jadeja has played 41 IPL matches and picked 28 wickets at an average of 25.78 and an economy rate of 7. In the first meeting against GT this season, Jadeja picked one wicket for 28 runs in four wickets.

Maheesh Theekshana: The Sri Lankan off-spinner hasn't been highly impressive this season but Tuesday might possibly be his day. In 11 IPL 2023 matches so far, he has picked nine wickets at an average of 36.44 and an economy rate of 8.

After failing to pick wickets in three consecutive matches, Theekshana picked two wickets for 23 runs in four overs in his side's must win match against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Saturday. The 22-year-old tweaker is expected to capitalise on the momentum on a surface which will support spin bowling.

Rashid Khan: Eyes will be on the superstar leg-spinner in the big match on Tuesday. Rashid is currently the joint-highest wicket-taker in the IPL 2023. In 14 matches, the GT bowler has picked 24 wickets at an average of 18.25 and an economy rate of 7.82.

In his previous outing against CSK this season, Rashid picked two wickets for 26 runs in four overs. He has played six matches in Chennai and picked seven wickets at an average of 22.28 and an economy rate of 6.50. Rashid has played 13 matches against CSK and picked 13 wickets at an average of 27.76 and an economy rate of 6.94.

Mohit Sharma: The former CSK pacer has an experience of playing in at the Chennai surface and eyes will be on him during the match. In IPL 2023, Mohit has played 11 matches and picked 17 wickets at an average of 16.70 and an economy rate of 8.15.

In Chennai, GT cricketer has played 13 matches and picked 16 wickets at an average of 19.81 and an economy rate of 7.20. In the two matches against CSK, he has picked two wickets at an average of 37.50 and an economy rate of 10.46.
