Lucknow Super Giants has been pegged by Chennai Super Kings in the run chase on Monday (April 3) despite a fantastic start for the visitors. The Lucknow outfit are chasing 218 runs against CSK at the MA Chidambaram stadium.
And it is CSK's Englishman Moeen Ali, who has created significant and repetitive dents in the run chase for the Super Giants. The veteran picked up 4 wickets in his spell and bowled fantastically to bring Chennai right back into the game.

Kyle Mayers and KL Rahul gave LSG the perfect start after CSK set them the gigantic target. LSG were 75/0 after 5 overs, and Dhoni turned to Moeen to bowl the final over the powerplay.
Moeen Ali struck with immediate effect as he picked up Mayers on his very first over. And then the trouble was compounded as the England player removed LSG skipper KL Rahul next over. He continued his wicket-taking spree with Krunal Pandya's wicket in his 3rd, and then completed his 4th scalp with the important wicket of Marcus Stoinis.
The off-spinner ended up getting wickets in each of his overs and completed a sublime spell of 4/26 at the end of his full quota of overs.
KL Rahul and the Lucknow think tank would have prepared for the likes of Deepak Chahar, Ben Stokes and Ravindra Jadeja as CSK's strike bowlers, but the crafty English all-rounder came out of the blue.
The 35-year-old varied his pace and trapped the Lucknow batters with his deception. Mayers, Rahul and Krunal all departed while trying to hit him for a six, and only managed to find the fielders in the deep.
This is also Moeen's best-ever IPL spell. The CSK bowler has picked up 28 wickets so far in IPL and has 962 runs so far in the competition.
