As the two teams gear up to clash against each other for the first time in the IPL 2023, let's have a look at four bowlers who can take most wickets in the match.

Ravindra Jadeja: Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja will be the key bowler to watchout for once again. He has played eight IPL 2023 matches so far and picked 11 wickets at an average of 18.89 and an economy rate of 7.42.

Jadeja is currently the second-highest wicket-taker for Chennai after Tushar Deshpande. Overall, Jadeja has joint four-highest number of wickets in the IPL 2023. Jadeja has played 27 matches against Punjab and picked 14 wickets at an average of 38.85 and a strike rate of 8.11.

Maheesh Theekshana: The 22-year-old Sri Lanka spinner could be one of the highest wicket-takers for Chennai in the upcoming match. So far, he has picked five wickets in five matches at an average of 33.20 and an economy rate of 8.30.

The off-spinner leaked only 27 runs in four overs for one wicket in his last outing in Chennai. Overall, he has played 107 T20 matches and picked 114 wickets at an average of 23.16 and an economy rate of 6.53.

Arshdeep Singh: The left-arm pacer is currently the joint highest wicket-taker in the IPL 2023. He has picked 14 wickets in eight matches at an average of 18.42 and an economy rate of 8.89.

He was utterly expensive in his last outing against LSG, giving away 54 runs for just one wicket. He would be aiming to quickly bounce back with a stellar show versus CSK. He has played 4 matches against CSK and picked five wickets at an average of 15.60 and an economy rate of 6.50.

Sam Curran: The England pacer can also be impactful in the match. He has picked six wickets in eight matches at an average of 43 and an economy of 9.26. His left-arm bowling and ability to swing the ball is expected to come handy for him.

He has played two matches against his former team and picked three wickets at an average of 8.33 and a strike rate of 8.75. The fact that he has earlier played under Dhoni can also help him to perform well against CSK. He has picked 164 wickets in 165 T20 matches at an average of 26.49.
