CSK vs DC: Delhi Capitals (DC) will take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday. CSK are currently placed second in the ten-team IPL 2023 points table. They have 15 points in 13 points and a win will see them book a qualification berth.
DC, on the other hand, are out of the play-offs race and continue to occupy the last spot after winning four of their 13 matches. Chennai lost their last match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by six wickets, while Delhi defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 15 runs.
As the two teams gear up to clash against each other for the second time in the IPL 2023, let's have a look at four players who can score most runs in the match.
David Warner: The Delhi Capitals (DC) batter is the leading run-scorer for his side with 430 runs in 13 matches at an average of 33.07 and a strike rate of 128.74. Five fifties have come off his blade.
Warner was dismissed for a duck in his meeting against CSK earlier this season and he would be looking to avenge himself this time. The southpaw has scored 46 and 54 runs in his last two outings. In 19 matches against CSK, Warner has scored 558 runs in 19 matches at an average of 29.36 and a strike rate of 129.76.
Prithvi Shaw: The 23-year-old opener roared back to form in his comeback against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Wednesday. He scored 54 runs off 38 balls.
The right-hander has played a total of seven IPL 2023 matches this season and scored 101 runs at an average of 14.42 and a strike rate of 129.48. In a rather forgettable season, Shaw would look to score high in DC's last league match. Shaw has played 10 matches against CSK and scored 273 runs at an average of 27.30 and a strike rate of 153.37.
Ajinkya Rahane: Batting at the Arun Jaitley Stadium surface is not always easy and an experienced player like Ajinkya Rahane will have a greater role to play in the crunch match for his side. Rahane scored 21 off 13 in his previous outing against CSK this season.
In IPL 2023, he has scored 282 runs in 11 matches at an average of 35.25 and a strike rate of 169.87. In 21 matches against his former team, Rahane has scored 813 runs in 21 matches at an average of 58.07 and a strike rate of 130.70.
Moeen Ali: The Englishman can be one of the leading run-scorers for CSK in the upcoming match. In IPL 2023, Moeen has scored 115 runs in 12 matches at an average of 16.42 and an economy rate of 132.18.
During CSK's last outing against DC earlier this season, Moeen scored seven off 12. Overall, he has played eight matches against DC and scored 117 runs at an average of 14.62 and a strike rate of 124.46.
