IPL 2023: Twitter Reacts as Delhi Capitals suffer another batting collapse

It was another poor outing with the bat for Delhi Capitals as their top and middle order collapsed against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday (April 24).

DC won their first match of the season against Kolkata Knight Riders in the last match, but their batting wasn't convincing. And it had another dismal fate again on Monday. The Capitals batters had an underwhelming display yet again at the Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad.

Delhi Capitals

David Warner scored a slow 21, while Phil Salt (0), Sarfaraz Khan (10), Aman Khan (4) failed to make an impact as they were tottering at 62/5 at one stage. Axar Patel (34 off 34) and Manish Pandey (34 off 27) rescued further slump and helped them to score 144/9 at the end of their 20 overs.

Twitteratti was bemused by another weak batting display and mocked the Capitals batters. Here are some of the best Twitter reactions-

Former India player Harbhajan Singh took a cheeky dig at the Capitals and advised them to send Shane Watson for batting. Watson is one of the coaches in the DC setup.

They also have Ricky Ponting (Head Coach) and Sourav Ganguly (Director of Cricket) in their dugout, two batting stalwarts of yesteryears.

This fan believes the DC batters are tarnishing the reputations of Ricky Ponting and Sourav Ganguly.

This fan thinks the departure of Shreyas Iyer to KKR is the most significant blow for the Delhi Capitals.

DC captain Rishabh Pant was left out of the squad due to his injury. And this fan reminisced how things could be different had Pant been there.

This fan trolled DC captain David Warner and included him in the SRH team. Warner was part of the SRH team for a long time but had a disappointing exit from the franchise.
