Garg, who plays his domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh, was signed for INR 20 Lakh. The 22-year-old Meerut-born player is a right-handed batter who can also roll his arms with medium pace bowling.
Garg was part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad who bought him in 2020. He played 21 matches for SRH across three seasons. The batter remained unsold this season at the auction.
The UP batter has 251 IPL runs to his name with an average of over 15 and a strike rate of around 115. He also has one IPL fifty to his name. Garg has formerly captained India at the under-19 level.
