Dinesh Karthik had to play with physical distress in Royal Challengers Bangalore's match against Mumbai Indians on Tuesday (May 9), says RCB coach Sanjay Bangar.
Karthik scored 30 runs off 18 balls in the match, and after getting out, he was seen retching multiple times while coming back to the pavilion. He didn't feature with the gloves in the second innings as Anuj Rawat kept wickets for RCB.

And after the match, Sanjay Bangar gave an update on Karthik's health. He says the player was struggling with dehydration and even vomited on the pitch.
"During the course of the innings, Dinesh Karthik started feeling unwell, he was a bit dehydrated and on his way back he also vomited," Bangar said in the post-match press conference.
But the RCB coach also assured Karthik will be fit for RCB's upcoming matches, which will be against the Rajasthan Royals on Sunday (May 14).
"There is enough gap for us, maybe three-four days, so with medicine, I think he should be fine. He is an important member for us and he has a big role to play," he added.
Karthik has had a dismal season so far in this IPL. Tuesday's 30 against MI is his highest score thus far this year. The veteran player has managed 140 runs in 11 innings, at a paltry average of 14.
RCB also suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Mumbai Indians. Suryakumar Yadav's magical knock took the Paltans home as they chased down 200 runs in just 16.3 overs.
